Mike Violi, director of operations

Being a sports nut Mike has always wanted to be involved in Sports.  Mike played the big three sports all his life (Football, Baseball, & Basketball), but concentrated on baseball in high school.  Mike attended Texas A&M ('02) and grew to have a large dislike for Texas Tech (probably because they beat the Aggies every year).  After A&M, Mike worked for ABC Sports in New York City as a research assistant and traveled with a production crew for College Football from 2003-2006 (which could quite possibly be the greatest job ever for a football loving college graduate).  In 2005, Mike attended Seton Hall University and obtained his MBA (Sports Management) in 2006.  After graduation, Mike realized his love for the great state of Texas and moved back to D/FW.  As fate would have it, Mike & Sport and Social got together to bring DSSC back to life. 

Mike enjoys long walks on the beach, emailing DSSC participants, dominating the Thursday night flag football league with Frankie's Fanatics, religiously watching NFL football, and beautiful women (what guy doesn't!). 

So if you see him out on the fields throw out a what's up! He is doing his best to keep the fields up to par and to minimize the hatred participants have for the referees/umpires, except for the vets (Tim, Greg, & Joe).  They are universally loved.
